Here’s a snapshot of recent events that are reshaping aged care quality and compliance

There’s a Senate Inquiry to the Effectiveness of the Aged Care Quality Assessment and accreditation framework which started 13th of June 2017.
The transition to the New Aged Care Quality Standards began on the 1st July 2018.
All applications submitted from now will undergo an “Unannounced” Re-accreditation audit.
There’s a new aged care watchdog with the establishment of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission on the 1st January 2019.
The Aged Care (Single Quality Framework) Reform Bill 2018 has cleared Federal Parliament on the 10th of September 2018.
